We are PLG Builders, a dedicated team of framing, siding, and demolition specialists based in Moncton, NB. OUR FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Pierre-Luc Guitard

Carpentry and construction are in my blood. I grew up learning the trade from my grandfather and father but didn’t answer the call to continue the legacy right away.

I chose the path of the tech-savvy and worked as a computer programmer for almost three years. But sitting at a desk left me feeling empty. It didn’t bring me the satisfaction, and joie de vivre that building something with my hands did. So I left.

Initially, I worked for contractors doing bathroom renovations, commercial construction, and drywall services in the Moncton area. After a few years working for someone else, I travelled to Australia and provided construction and carpentry to homeowners on my own. It was then that I knew I was ready to branch out on my own and build a construction business that I could be proud of.

I returned to my hometown, Moncton, New Brunswick, and began building a reputable contractor business around my skills and expertise in deck construction, carpentry, framing, and drywall. In just a few years, my business grew from a one-man-show with a few tools and a little car to a fully equipped team with a beautifully branded heavy-duty truck and trailer to better serve our community. While we provide a wide array of construction services, my first loves will always be deck building, framing, new construction, and, of course, demolition. Because who doesn’t love swinging a sledgehammer 😄?
